Recognising the isolating and lonely nature of addiction, Gemma is passionate about creating a supportive and empowering group environment where individuals can express themselves, reflect, and develop compassion-based coping strategies for the future. Before joining TLC Rehab, she was Lead Therapist in a residential detox and rehabilitation centre, shaping her relational and person-centred approach.
At TLC Rehab, she provides personalised care, ensuring recovery plans align with each individual’s beliefs, goals, and needs. With an MA in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths University, she integrates evidence-based methods with holistic practices to support long-term sobriety. She also delivers Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) workshops, equipping clients with essential skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.
Beyond clinical work, Gemma has spoken at university conferences on environmental loss and its psychological impact. In her free time, she enjoys nature walks with her dog, cooking for loved ones, and sharing her impressive board game collection.
“Witnessing the transformation of clients as they rediscover their potential and connect to their authentic selves is humbling, inspiring, and a true privilege.“
