COVID Security Policy

At TLC Rehab, the safety and wellbeing of our clients, staff, and visitors remain our highest priority. As a healthcare provider offering residential detox and rehabilitation services, we are committed to maintaining a safe environment while continuing to deliver essential care and support.

This COVID Security Policy outlines the measures we have in place to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission within our facility, in line with current UK government guidance and best practices for healthcare settings.

1. Infection Prevention and Control

  • Regular Cleaning & Sanitisation:
All communal areas, therapy rooms, treatment spaces, and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitised regularly throughout the day.

  • Hand Hygiene:
Hand sanitiser stations are available throughout the facility. Staff, clients, and visitors are encouraged to wash hands frequently and use sanitiser provided.

  • PPE Use:
Staff wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary, especially when working in close contact with clients during medical care.

2. Screening and Health Monitoring

  • Pre-Admission Screening:
All clients are asked COVID-related health questions before admission. Where clinically appropriate, testing may be requested before or upon arrival.

  • Ongoing Monitoring:
Clients and staff are monitored for symptoms of COVID-19, including temperature checks if required. Anyone displaying symptoms will follow isolation protocols in line with health guidance.

  • Staff Testing:
Our team is committed to regular testing when required and following NHS and government guidance on health and safety.

3. Visitor Policy

  • Visits are by prior arrangement only and are subject to health screening questions.

  • Visitors may be required to wear face coverings and adhere to hand hygiene measures during their visit.

  • Visits may be adjusted or suspended based on current government advice and local infection rates.

4. Isolation Procedures

  • Any client who develops symptoms of COVID-19 during their stay will be supported in line with our medical protocols, including safe isolation if required, while continuing to receive appropriate care and support.

  • Staff who test positive or develop symptoms will follow NHS guidelines regarding self-isolation and return-to-work procedures.

5. Commitment to Ongoing Review

This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated in line with changes to government guidance, public health advice, and best practice for healthcare environments.
